By using this service, you agree to the following terms:

• As-Is Status: This is a non-commercial, experimental pet-project designed for testing cross-era compatibility. It is provided "as is" with no uptime guarantees.
• No Encryption: All messages, usernames, and passwords are stored in PLAIN TEXT on the server. There is absolutely zero cryptography or secure database hashing used.
• No Real Data: Do NOT use your real name, phone number, or standard passwords (like your banking or email passwords). Do not share sensitive or private information in chats.
• Liability: The creator of this project takes zero responsibility for data loss, server crashes, intercepted messages, or unauthorized access to your account.
• No Moderation: The server acts as a raw message relay. Any illegal content will result in the immediate deletion of the associated chat files without warning.

About the Project

SimpleMSG is designed to bridge the gap between the 1990s and today. The goal is to build a fully working, real-time messenger that can run on an iPhone 17 Pro Max, a Windows XP machine, and a classic button-phone via 2G internet—all simultaneously, using raw HTML and universal server-side rendering.

📱 Device Compatibility

iOS Devices:

• Basically all iOS devices with a web browser are supported. Tested: iPhone 3G (iOS 3.1.3)
• Progressive Web App (PWA): Full fullscreen app installation is supported.
• Push Notifications: Require iOS 16.4+ (Apple's hardware limitation).

Android Devices:

• All Android devices with a web browser are supported.
• PWA & Push Notifications: Fully supported on Android 6.0+ (Chrome 50+). Background wake-up via High Urgency pushes is enabled. Tested: Google Pixel 10 Pro

Personal Computers:

• Modern Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox (Full Support).
• Legacy Windows: Theoretically supported down to Internet Explorer 3.0 (1996) due to pure HTML forms.
• Dynamic UI: Two-column desktop layout works on IE6+ (Windows XP). Auto-refresh feature requires IE7+ (2006). Tested: Windows XP VM

Classic Button Phones:

• Theoretically supports any phone with a built-in browser that can read basic HTML forms over an HTTP connection.
• Requires a direct internet connection profile (GPRS/EDGE/3G). Cloud proxy browsers (like modern Opera Mini) may block the connection. Tested: Nokia 8800
